A teenager was seriously injured Monday afternoon following a collision between a motor vehicle and a scooter.

Windsor police are investigating the crash, which happened around 3 p.m., in the area of Dominion Boulevard and Norfolk Street in South Windsor.

Police said a 14-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while riding his scooter.

The teen was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Dominion Boulevard and Norfolk Street from McKay Avenue to Dominion were closed for several hours Monday while police investigated.

This investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone who witnessed the collision or has information or video footage of the incident, to contact the Windsor Police Service traffic enforcement unit at 519-945-9645 ext. 8803.
