Moonlight Companies voluntarily recalled yellow and white peaches grown in California and sold nationwide between Sept. 16 and Oct. 29, 2025, due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to the FDA.

The affected peaches were sold individually and in multi-packs at major retailers including Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts and Food Lion, excluding those labeled “Washington” and/or “Organic.”

The CDC warns that listeria can cause severe illness, especially in pregnant people, newborns, older adults and those with weakened immune systems; the recall follows a recent nationwide listeria-linked frozen spinach recall.

Those hoping to whip up peach cobbler or pie in the coming with the fruit they have in their fridge may want to do a double check.
