Michigan gas prices went back down, dipping, on average, below $3 a gallon for regular unleaded on Nov. 2 after surging nearly 30 cents a gallon when a Midwest refinery temporarily went down.
But that might not last, according to one petroleum analyst.
By AAA's count, Michigan gas prices are averaging $2.97 a gallon for regular unleaded.
"Gas prices are likely to rebound soon in the Great Lakes states due to ongoing refinery challenges," Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said on Monday, Nov. 3.
