November brings another supermoon, and this one is going to shine bright.

This year it is the second of three supermoons, and it is the closest and brightest moon of the year.

Best known as the Beaver Moon, the name — and most of the other terms for November’s first moon — are nods to impending winter. It is preceded by October’s Harvest Moon and will be followed by 2025’s last full moon, the Cold Moon, on Dec. 4.
