SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society is suspending dog adoptions and surrenders until further notice.
An issue arose after one of the dogs began showing signs of illness, resulting in veterinary care being administered at an emergency clinic.
Testing is underway to determine the illness.
While the results are waiting to be released, all dog adoptions and surrenders are temporarily suspended.
Cat and small animal adoptions will continue as usual.
