Arsenal's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace will take place just two days before Christmas.

The last eight tie has been scheduled for a week after the rest of the round's matches due to Palace's European commitments.

Oliver Glasner's side face Finnish side KuPS at Selhurst Park in the Conference League on Thursday December 18.

As a result, they faced a run of four matches in seven days with the Carabao Cup quarter-finals to be played that same week.

However, the EFL have now confirmed their trip to the Emirates Stadium will instead take place on December 23.

Both clubs will thus have only two days to prepare for the cup tie with the Gunners playing away at Everton on December 21, while the Eagles are away at Leeds on the same day.

The match has been given an 8pm kick
