WALLACE, N.C. (WITN) - Wallace police are searching for a man who they say shot someone back in September.

Jose Diaz, 39, is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Police say it happened on the 200 block of Sloan Street on September 27th.

Upon arrival, police say they found someone suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
