VANCEBORO, N.C. (WITN) - As Dominic Connelly, the man wanted for murdering his grandmother in Havelock and then stabbing a Craven County deputy in Vanceboro, remains on the run, there have been reports of people believing they have spotted him in nearby counties.
One of the latest such sightings is in Martin County, where a man posted on Facebook that he believed Connelly tried to get in his daughter’s car on Monday in Williamston.
Martin County Sheriff Drew Robinson tells WITN there have been several reports of a person matching Connelly’s description that have all turned out to be unfounded.
Robinson goes on to say that Craven County officials believe Connelly remains in the area where searches have been going on.
