LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - A man awaiting trial for two murders in Lynchburg now says he was “misled” into pleading guilty to separate assault charges .
Nathaniel Pridemore faces trial in 2026 for the murders of Cash Gaudio and Christina Hamilton in Lynchburg.
In September 2025, Pridemore pleaded guilty to assaulting four law enforcement officers when he was arrested for the murders. But at a hearing November 3, he submitted a motion to the court, claiming that when he accepted his plea deal in the assault case, he was “misled” by everyone, including the “unseen forces he speaks with.”
During that assault and battery trial, a jury had already been selected and the case was underway. After the lunch break, Pridemore returned to court and chose to take a plea. He is now arguing that he
