BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police have identified the victim of a deadly three-car crash on I-87 in Bethlehem over the weekend. 63-year-old Claudia Hargis-Grover of Glens Falls was pronounced dead at the scene, while several others were injured.
The crash occurred near Exit 23 just before 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. According to a preliminary investigation, a northbound 2011 Chevrolet sedan was driving at high speed in the left lane when it tried to move into the right lane, sideswiping a Ram pickup truck.
After hitting the truck, the 2011 Chevrolet allegedly veered back into the left lane, rear-ending a 2025 Chevrolet sedan and sending it into the guardrail. The driver of the 2025 Chevrolet was identified as Hargis-Grover on Monday.
