LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - The Nebraska Attorney General is warning about bogus texts claiming to be from the Nebraska Department of Revenue.

The fake text asks for payment information to collect a tax refund.

If you get one of these, Hilgers’ office advises that you:

Don’t click on any links

Don’t provide any personal information

Delete the message

Report it to your mobile carrier

Legitimate tax refund information can be found at the Nebraska Department of Revenue website.
