HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Police arrested a 38-year-old Hastings man after he allegedly fired a weapon during a domestic dispute that left a woman injured and a basement flooded.
Police arrested Tyler Utecht after officers responded to the area of Bateman and Oswego Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. A woman inside the home reported that a man fired a weapon, according to Hastings Police Captain Jason Haase.
Officers spoke with the woman, who told them Utecht had fired a gun in the basement following an argument that escalated after he had been drinking alcohol. The woman also told police Utecht hit her in the face during the dispute.
During the argument, Utecht went to the basement where a gun safe was located, police said. The woman reportedly refused to follow him downstairs and hear
