SHEPHERDSTOWN – Redshirt junior running back Jordan Barnett rushed for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Shepherd (5-4, 5-1 PSAC East) to a 48-7 win over Shippensburg (2-7, 2-4 PSAC East) in PSAC East football action at Ram Stadium on Saturday.
Shippensburg took a 7-0 lead when Riley Gunnels teamed with Jaevon Parker on an eight-yard scoring pass with 7:49 left in the first quarter.
Shepherd tied the game when Barnett scored on a two-yard plunge with 12:32 left in the second quarter. Sophomore kicker Keith Baker added the extra point.The Rams took a 14-7 lead when graduate student running back Grant Swinehart plowed into the end zone from three yards out with 6:59 left in the half.
