BEREA, Ohio — Shedeur Sanders’ back didn’t heal over the bye week enough for him to return to the practice field on Monday.
Sanders, who sat out the 32-13 loss to the Patriots with tightness in his back, was not outside with his teammates participating in the bonus session coming off the bye.
The only two quarterbacks on the field were fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, and practice-squader Bailey Zappe, who served as QB2 back at his old stomping grounds in New England.
