SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- The final design and provisions of the proposed recreation center at Frank Olson Park will be presented to the city council on Tuesday.
The construction is contingent on the council passing a resolution approving the final plan. A $68 million sales tax bond will fund the project. The estimated costs of the Frank Olson project is $47 million, which is a capped price.
Frank Olson Park is home to the oldest pool in the city, opening in 1972.
The final plan for the new indoor recreation center at the park is a 75,000-square-foot building that includes two pools, a gymnasium with basketball courts, a fitness floor with strength equipment, and a large indoor playground, among its features.
In the project information, the city said the building is meant for all age
