On Monday at 12:55 p.m. the National Weather Service released a coastal flood watch valid for Thursday between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast.
The weather service says, "Minor tidal flooding is possible during high tide."
"Low-lying roadways may be closed. Low-lying property, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur," says the weather service. "If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Stay away from the surf zone and off of jetties. Area beaches may become hazardous due to dangerous surf conditions."
