A spin-off drama from the much-loved BBC series The Split has received a significant update.

Following the disappointment felt by viewers when the Nicola Walker and Stephen Mangan-led legal drama concluded with its third series in 2022 and a two-part special last year, additional information about the forthcoming show The Split Up has emerged, including casting announcements.

The original programme featured Annika star Nicola as Hannah, grappling with the breakdown of her marriage to Nathan (Stephen) whilst managing infidelity, relationships, and family complications alongside running her family's legal practice with her two sisters and mother.

The Split Up will now centre on a different family's law practice, this time based in Manchester and focusing on the British-Asian elite
