The NFL trade deadline is nearly here, and the Patriots have a few daunting calls to make in the coming hours.
With the deadline set for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Eliot Wolf and the rest of the Patriots’ front office still have some time to work the phones and try to acquire talent for a 7-2 New England squad.
While there are several areas of the roster that could use some reinforcements for the stretch run, New England must also weigh whether or not it’s worth relinquishing future assets for this winter — especially if the franchise is looking to cultivate a sustainable contender.
