The NFL trade deadline is on the horizon and many eyes are on the Patriots .

At 7-2 , New England sits atop the AFC East standings. The team already made a pair of trades last week, but could stand to add a running back or bolster the defense .

“If something that we think is gonna help us now and in the future (comes up), then that’s probably something we should look at,” Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said during his weekly appearance on WEEI . “But I don’t think our 7-2 record is going to force us to do something or not do something.”

The Patriots have won six straight games and appear to have some strong chemistry. Whether they bring in someone or not come Tuesday, they want to be sure they’d be a good fit in the locker room.
