It might be called the "Day" of the Dead, but as the sun slipped behind the horizon Saturday night, people came out to celebrate the occasion in downtown Somerset.
Traditionally observed at the start of November, the holiday celebrated in Mexico and related Latin America cultures might share some of the same elements as Halloween, from images of skulls to a contemplation of what lies beyond, but is very different in most other respects, serving as a chance to remember loved ones no longer on this earth and to come together and family and community in fellowship and fun.
