Mike O’Shea doesn’t sound like somebody who’s going anywhere and he certainly doesn’t want his team blown up and rebuilt.

Monday’s season-ending media Q & A with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach produced the usual shrug about his contract status – he has no deal for next year – along with a message for fans concerned about the direction of the team: go back and watch the second half of that playoff loss in Montreal.

“If they were in here every day, they would be less concerned,” O’Shea said. “If they take a look from the start of the third quarter, they would be less concerned. The fans can recognize that the guys play hard. Mistakes happen. But they play hard all the time.”

That’s why he wants no part of a rebuild.
