ASHEVILLE - The American South is now the home to Michelin Star restaurants, with Asheville earning Bib Gourmand and Green Star awards.

On Nov. 3, Michelin Guide recipients were slated to receive their awards at a ceremony at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina.

According to a news release published hours ahead of the event, more than 200 restaurants were awarded, including more than a dozen in Asheville.
