1Body pulled from Inner Harbor near Light Street prompts Baltimore death investigation
BALTIMORE, MD – A grim discovery unfolded Sunday morning along the Inner Harbor when a body was spotted floating in the water near the 400 block of Light Street, triggering a death investigation by city police.
At approximately 8:57 a.m., Baltimore Police responded to reports of a body in the water. Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified adult male, who was removed from the harbor and pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
The man’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where authorities will determine both his identity and official cause of death. The circumstances leading to how the body ended up in the water remain unclear.
