JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KY3) -A court case is on pause as tens of thousands of signatures to recall Missouri’s new congressional map hang in the balance.

Cole County Judge Daniel Green will hear arguments next week in a lawsuit filed against the Missouri Secretary of State. The trial was originally scheduled for Monday, but Judge Green could not be in court for personal reasons. The group behind a petition to recall Missouri’s new congressional map, People Not Politicians, is suing the Secretary of State; the lawsuit claims he’s trying to sabotage its efforts.

Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins first rejected the petition because Gov. Mike Kehoe had not yet signed the new map into law. Once Hoskins approved a version of the petition for circulation, he said he would reject any signat
