CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M Buffs football team defeated the Texas A&M Kingsville Javelinas 53-48 Saturday afternoon in a game that came down to the wire.
The Buffs offense totaled 400 yards passing with five touchdowns through the air and 93 rushing yards with one touchdown on the ground. Defensively, the team recorded three tackles for loss totaling 19 yards, two sacks for 15 yards, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
Coach praises team resilience
West Texas A&M head coach Josh Lynn said he was proud of his team’s effort to overcome adversity.
