A preliminary hearing for Douglas Weisen-Todd resulted in a case regarding burglary, grand theft and malicious injury to property moving to district court after Judge Jason Walker determined the state, represented by Trey Trusty, had met the burden of proving the crime more likely than not occurred.
According to court documents, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office was contacted Sept. 13 by a homeowner in Tetonia reporting his garage door window had been broken with a rock, which was still inside the garage, and that more than $1,000 worth of tools had been stolen. The homeowner had been out of town for a few weeks when he came home to discover the burglary.
Near the property that had been robbed, a new home under construction was nearly finished, and the victim called TCSO three days later
