PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A memorial service was held on Monday for the family members of Illinois Gubernatorial Candidate Darren Bailey, who were killed in a helicopter crash last month.

On Oct. 22, Bailey’s son Zachary, daughter-in-law Kelsey, and two grandchildren, Vada and Samuel, perished in a helicopter crash in Ekalaka, Montana. Vada was 12-years-old and Samuel was 7-years-old.

A celebration of life for the victims was held on Monday at Oil Belt Christian Service Camp in Flora, Illinois.

Tyler Sterchi, the lead pastor of New Hope Church, the church the Bailey family attended, described the deceased family members as people who worshiped, sang loudly, and were very involved.
