FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Concerned citizens gathered the Allen County Library on Monday night for a town hall on the Google data center coming to Fort Wayne.
The event, hosted by the Citizens Action Coalition , a consumer and environmental advocacy organization , was meant to address concerns the organization says it has heard concerns from across the state about similar projects.
Bryce Gustafson, an organizer with Citizens Action Coalition, says some concerns about the data center in Fort Wayne include light, air , and noise pollution, as well as concerns about impacts on water and electricity in the area.
Concerns about tax subsidies and a lack of transparency are also on many people’s minds, Gustafson said.
