FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Washington County judge has agreed to allow Andrew McGann to appear in court wearing civilian clothing after his attorneys filed a request, according to court documents.
McGann, 29, has been charged with two counts of capital murder. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges. Prosecutors are pursuing the death penalty in the case.
On Nov. 3, Judge Joanna Taylor filed an order allowing McGann to appear at all court proceedings in civilian clothing and without "visible restraints." Taylor also said in her order that McGann's family or attorneys will be responsible for providing clothing for him.
