Last season, a group of five seniors led the Bluffton girls' basketball team to its first ACAC title and a 22-win season.
With those players all graduated, the Tigers’ number of seniors has shrunk down to just one: All-State honorable mention guard Konley Ault.
“It’s a great opportunity for her to continue doing what she’s been doing,” Bluffton coach Doug Curtis said. “I think she’ll have a great year. We have enough weapons out there if people really tried to take her away from us.”
Ault and the Tigers are one of many teams in the ACAC who will begin their season looking to surround their respective stars with a new, young supporting cast as they vie for a conference championship.
Some teams, like Bluffton, have taken the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ mentality. The Tigers average
