SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The burn ban, approved by county commissioners during their meeting on Oct. 21, continues as conditions remain dry across Tom Green County.
"We do not allow any kind of open burning within the city during burn bans, especially to include no on-the-ground burning, no fire pits," said Billy Clemons, Fire Marshall. "You're still allowed to use charcoal grills for cooking. Same with any propane gas grills. You can use them for cooking, but we don't want any people burning in the open, especially anything that's an open flame."
Outdoor grilling is allowed with caution in Tom Green County. But outdoor trash burning is allowed in the city of San Angelo.
