HENRY CO., Ill. (KWQC) - A Henry County Court will reconsider the life sentence of the man convicted of killing a Knox County deputy on Wednesday.
Daylon Richardson was sentenced to life in prison for the 2022 death of Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Nicholas Weist during a two-county chase in August.
A jury convicted him of two counts of first-degree murder in February of 2024.
A judge will reconsider his sentence at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, according to court records.
