That is the mission of Wreaths Across America. Emporians are invited to join that mission by honoring veterans buried in Emporia this year by donating to place a wreath on their gravestones.

How to participate

Sponsor a wreath: Every $17 donation will purchase a wreath to be placed on a veteran's grave

Donation locations: You may donate in-person at the following local Emporia businesses:

Bobby D's ( 607 Merchant St.)

Sweet Granada (803 Commercial St.)

Nature's Paradise (1511 W 6th Ave.)

Order online: Those wishing to donate online can visit the Wreaths Across America website . When selecting the location, choose KSMMLC - Maplewood Memorial Lawn cemetery.
