DAR contest

RUTLAND — To all grades 5-8 students, the Rutland area Ann Story Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, invites participants in its 2025-26 American History Essay Contest, “Lunch with a Signer.” Deadline for submissions is Dec. 8. For contest details, email ccohen.vtdar@gmail.com .

All participants will receive an official DAR certificate. The winner of each grade level will receive an official winner certificate and DAR medal along with a small monetary prize. Winning entries at the chapter level progress to the state level for further judging and possible awards that can go on to division and the national level in Washington, D.C.
