A quiet and warm start to November across New Mexico with near record high temperatures. Temperatures will stay above average all week long as the state stays dry.
The warming trend from Sunday continues into this week, except for northeast New Mexico. A backdoor cold front has cooled high temperatures off today in northeast and east-central New Mexico as much as 10º to 20º compared to yesterday. The rest of the state is sitting warmer as the dry and sunny weather continues. Albuquerque almost tied a record high temperature today, hitting 79° this afternoon. The record was 80°. Santa Fe did break a record high though, climbing to 72°.
