Jake Paul has torn into Gervonta Davis after cancelling their high-profile boxing fight following accusations against his opponent of battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping by an ex-girlfriend.

The pair were due to face off in an exhibition bout in Miami on November 14, which would have been broadcast globally on Netflix .

But a civil lawsuit was filed against Davis last month, in which it is claimed Davis had threatened to kill ex-partner Courtney Rossel, who alleges Davis attacked her on October 27 and "physically assaulted and choked" her on at least four other occasions. She is seeking damages of $50,000 (£38,000) and a jury trial. Davis has not responded to the allegations.
