West Coast Main Line have revealed a train that derailed in Shap, Cumbria has been removed from the tracks, but disruptions are still ongoing. ‌

The shock derailment took place Monday, November 3 at 6.10am with the Avanti West Coast service from Glasgow Central to London Euston. ‌

Reportedly caused by a landslide, 87 passengers and crew on board were evacuated to a nearby hotel with no major injuries reported. ‌

In an update on, X West Coast Main Line have revealed after working through 'wet and windy' weather, the train has now been removed.

Additionally overhead line repairs have been completed and earth, track and signalling work is ongoing. ‌
