Igive credit to Victoria Budiono for her seemingly unbiased article on the latest North Shore development proposal (“Hanging in the balance,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 2) . However, a few omissions from the piece and dubious quotes from the developers tend to tip the balance in favor of this potentially destructive project:

>> The dangerously winding Kaukonahua Road offers only two-lane access from Wahiawa to the proposed visitor destination, and is the site of several deadly auto accidents over the years.

>> What exactly is an “agricultural park”?

>> Has the project’s footprint really been “dramatically reduced?”

>> The proposed changes to the 2019 conditional use permit aren’t “minor modifications.” They shift the focus of the project from agriculture to tourism.
