Expect a gorgeous day ahead, as high pressure remains firmly in place over the southeast. Sunshine will dominate the skies, and afternoon highs will climb comfortably into the low 70s.

Tonight, skies stay clear and temperatures cool back into the mid 40s, with a few colder pockets possible.

Looking ahead, a steady warming trend continues through the rest of the week, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 70s by Friday. The first of two cold fronts arrives late Friday into early Saturday, bringing a few isolated showers and storms.
