The Brockton Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that took place this weekend , according to officials.
Officers responded to the first incident, which took place shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday morning on Plain Street, after receiving reports of gunfire, the department said in a press release Sunday.
After arriving on the scene, police identified two vehicles struck by gunfire, but found no victims or evidence of injuries related to the shooting.
One man was arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with improper storage of a firearm, intimidation of a witness or misleading a criminal investigation, and tampering with evidence, the statement said. The man’s name has not been publicly released as of Sunday morning.
