Accused of crashing a screening of documentary about his controversial online vigilantism, Creeper Hunter TV’s Jason Nassr will stay in detention for now.
Nassr, 45, of Windsor, was denied bail Monday after a lengthy virtual hearing before justice of the peace Peter Byskal. A publication ban covers the evidence, arguments by the Crown and defence, and Byskal’s reasons for ordering continued detention.
Nassr is charged with two counts of criminal harassment and one count of breaching a court order after a man was arrested Oct. 27 inside CitiPlaza, near the Wolf Performance Hall, where the documentary
Shamed
was being shown as part of the Forest City Film Festival.
