AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - Tuesday morning around 7:35 am, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to the 2700 block of Deen Ave. in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival they located the victim with an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported via ambulance to the hospital for treatment.

The Criminal Investigation Division is currently on scene and no further information is available at this time.
