LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he made a false report that prompted an emergency response.
It happened on Nov. 1, off Byerly Road, 12 miles south of London.
Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of multiple individuals assaulting a man in the yard.
Upon arriving, the deputy was unable to locate any fight or individuals, determining it was a false call.
Upon further investigation, the deputy learned the alleged caller had used methamphetamine and appeared high.
Christopher Fox, 40, of Corbin, was arrested and charged with:
Public intoxication – controlled substances
Four counts of harassing communications
Falsely reporting which generates an emergency response
Fox is being held in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
