Tillsonburg Town Council is considering removing downtown’s two-hour parking limit on Saturdays.

Councillor Chris Rosehart tabled a motion during a recent meeting instructing town staff to file a report on the possibility of easing parking restrictions on Saturday and how that would affect local businesses.

“If you’re in town shopping, you’re parked in the downtown, you’re going to stop and have a bite to eat,” Rosehart said. “Your two hours are up before you know it, and next thing you know, you go back to your car and you’ve got a ticket.”

Rosehart said drivers receiving tickets became an issue for folks in the past six months when by-law officers began working weekend
