The All-American and preseason Big Ten Player of the Year can become the NCAA Division I all-time assists leader. The Westfield native would not even need to average far outside his career norms to surpass Duke ’s Bobby Hurley.
Smith has played in all 110 games of his Purdue career. That longevity put him in position to challenge for this record.
