A Cambridgeshire school will be welcoming a "passionate" new headteacher at the start of 2026. St Ivo Academy in St Ives has shared that Jess Pearce will be joining the school after Tony Meneaugh announced he would be stepping down from the role in September after spending two years at the school.

Ms Pearce will officially start the role in January after leaving her current job at Trumpington Community College. Ms Pearce has been a part of the senior leadership team at schools around Cambridgeshire for nearly 10 years.

For the last six years, Ms Pearce has worked with the leadership team at Trumpington Community College and has a "strong track record of school improvement". She has also worked as a part-time Ofsted inspector.
