A train worker who put his life on the line for others has been praised for his “extraordinary bravery” by a city council chairman. The LNER train worker that remains in a “critical, but stable” condition after the Huntingdon train stabbing has today (Tuesday, November 4) been named as Samir Zitouni , also known as Sam.
Sam was one of 10 people injured in a stabbing that took place on a LNER train travelling to London on Saturday (November 1) evening, but got derailed to Huntingdon. Councillor Peter McDonald, chair of Cambridgeshire County Council has praised Sam for his bravery.
