BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — The United Way of the Lowcountry is launching a Thanksgiving campaign to support families impacted by the government shutdown.
The Thanksgiving Meal Campaign is seeking donations to provide families in Jasper and Beaufort counties with a meal for the upcoming holiday, which will include a turkey and traditional sides.
You can donate a Thanksgiving meal that serves four people for $40 using this website.
“This campaign is about more than a meal,” said United Way President and CEO Dale Douthat. “It is about self-sufficiency. By meeting an immediate need, we give families the breathing room to stay on their feet, pay rent, keep the lights on, and focus on what comes next.”
