The death of a man discovered with what Regina police termed a gunshot wound is now considered the city’s tenth homicide of 2025.
An investigation into the death began Saturday morning when, shortly before 1 a.m., officers were sent to a residence on the 1000 block of 12th Avenue, according to a Monday news release.
“Upon arrival, police located a 19 year-old male who was the victim of a gunshot wound. EMS declared the male deceased on scene,” the release states.

Officers secured the scene and called in the Regina Police Service (RPS) Major Crimes Unit and the RPS Forensic Identification Unit.
The release goes on to state the name of the deceased will not be released “at the request of the family.”
