The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chandigarh Zonal Unit, Saturday arrested Anuj Kumar Singh (42), in connection with a major drug diversion case involving illegal manufacture and supply of psychotropic medicines and codeine-based cough syrups.
Anuj, a resident of Roorkee, Haridwar, was evading NCB summons since August 14. He was arrested in Chandigarh after detailed questioning, a senior NCB officer said, adding that he is on a five-day police custody.
According to NCB officials, Anuj is a partner in M/s Digital Vision Pharma, Kala Amb (Himachal Pradesh) — a pharmaceutical company already under scrutiny in multiple cases.
